Cherry Gingerale - Lip Balm
Avocado oil, organic cocoa butter, candelilla wax, shea butter , organic food grade flavor oils and essential oils.
I add a bit of Vitamin E as an antioxidant boost when the base is ready. This is a natural way to help the shelf life of a balm that does not contain a preservative.
I use the best of ingredients in my lip balm base. This is not a pre-made base, I make the balm myself in small batches.
I use organic food-grade flavor oils and essential oils. I started making my own lip balm when I discovered it was the artificial scents, flavors and sweeteners that made me miserable and need more immediately. The term 'flavor oil' is a bit misleading. Most flavors are not sweetened, and that part is done on the makers end. I have opted to not use sweeteners because it promotes lip licking and will further dry your lips. When you apply this lip balm you will smell the aroma of the "flavor" but will not taste it. I don't know about you, but I do not like my Lip Balm to compete with my food & drinks.
What is Candelilla wax?
The Candelilla Plant (Euphorbia Antisyphillitica and Pedilanthus Pavonis) grows in Northeastern Mexico.
The production of Candelilla Wax is confined to areas where rugged climatic and topographical conditions combine to produce the highest wax-yielding varieties. Plants growing in the hottest and driest areas produce a scale-like covering on the plant, which, after processing at hundreds of rural sites, yields a hard vegetable wax of superior quality.
This is for ONE balm.
